This INNOVATIVE and NEW form of exercise will help improve the way you move, think and experience tension. Based on Dr. Stephen Porges Polyvagal Theory exercises to release tension in the nervous system along with DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) exercises and mindful movements to improve stability and posture you will boost your brain’s connection with your body. Improving the brain’s capacity to feel where your body is in space, improves how you walk, sit and stand to protect against falls and generate new neural connections. Novelty is known to improve learning and memory so why not try something new today!
MID DAY MEDITATION
Every Tuesday 12:15-1:00pm
Learn mindfulness meditation strategies, breath work to support relaxation, movement to bring awareness between the brain and body and try new technology with Muse Headbands to get real time feedback on your progress. This innovative new class is great for beginners wanting to learn more about how to meditate and those more experienced meditators looking for a small group to encourage their practice and add a different dynamic to their sitting experience. Meditation cushions and yoga mats will be supplied but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. As well we can provide chairs if preferred over a cushion.
