Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual form of therapy based on interrelationships between structure and function of the entire body. It emphasizes the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate.  A combination of these services provides a holistic assessment of any imbalances, realignment of structures, and technical guidance with exercises.

How does osteopathy benefit you?

  1. Improves functional mobility and posture
The body functions optimally when it is in balance. Proper alignment of structures allows the body’s nervous system to send and receive necessary information.  Reinforcement with strengthening can prevent and correct imbalances.

  2. Reduces pain
Correction of imbalances means less stress on the muscles and joints.

  3. Connects mind and body.
An increased awareness of correct alignment assists one in becoming more aware of the early stages of misalignment, so that it is less likely to become chronic. Guidance with exercises connects ones thoughts with their body, improving proprioception.
