Massage therapy is more than a luxury. It involves the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body and offers significant physiological effects of the circulatory, muscular, lymphatic and nervous systems in the management of soft tissue problems and pain control. Massage is acknowledged by physicians as a proven, valuable aid in muscular-skeletal disorders.

Why do you need massage?

To enhance athletic performance
Massage helps increase circulation by sending oxygen and nutrients to overworked muscles to aid the healing process. Massage effectively increases mobility in joints stiffened by scar tissue and relieve inflammation from tendonitis and other injuries.

To manage stress and occupational injuries
The negative effects of stress due to our overworked lives can manifest itself in many ways including anxiety, insomnia, headaches or migraines and chronic back and neck pain. Massage has the effect of an overall tonic for the body.

To relax during pregnancy
Massage therapy helps to promote relaxation and relieve muscle spasm, cramps and pain, which occur in the back, hips, legs and feet. Massage is beneficial throughout the entire pregnancy.

To manage chronic pain
Regular massage sessions may help reduce the debilitating effects of chronic pain. Through the use of hydrotherapy, gentle mobilizations and passive stretching, you may find relief from daily aches and pains.
